<br />
Here's another "daughter" request. She wanted to give her teacher a thank you card for the book she received for her birthday. Her requirements for me: an owl and a rainbow.<br />
<br />
The owl is from the Stampin' Up! Owl Builder punch. I wanted to add google eyes because they're fun and who doesn't love a little fun on their card?!<br />
<br />
The texture with the tree is the Stampin' Up! woodgrain embossing folder with a little ink added to the bossing folder to give the impressions added dimension. The heart cut from the tree is a Sizzix framelit.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEig3qSANHJiHirUUbxS4hcLM12-uM03eyYy985zjfLvEHc_YtkPKvGBP1cCK_TQ1Vsm6ksa_EMjRUzytrxdvLBkwcEAChiquICsFvwrXFiTuYzKu136M1ZD0k0z-Dk_kBYi03dhyphenhyphengG2Hvo/s1600/DSCF1133.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="210" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEig3qSANHJiHirUUbxS4hcLM12-uM03eyYy985zjfLvEHc_YtkPKvGBP1cCK_TQ1Vsm6ksa_EMjRUzytrxdvLBkwcEAChiquICsFvwrXFiTuYzKu136M1ZD0k0z-Dk_kBYi03dhyphenhyphengG2Hvo/s320/DSCF1133.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I was inspired by <a href="http://www.jennifermcguireink.com/2016/01/borders.html" target="_blank">Jennifer McGuire's post</a> in creating my rainbow. However, since I didn't have the border die that she used, I relied on my wonderful Gazelle to get the job done! I simply created the arcs in the Funtime software and let my Gazelle do all the work for me.</div>

When I asked my daughter what she wanted me to put on her birthday invites, it was a definite Hello Kitty. With plenty of coloring book pages available, we printed her out using a printer that uses toner versus the ink jet. Using the printer gave us the option to use the rainbow deco foil.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhfqLPyDYru-1GpK8pILfRDd1xJ5y_EZJxWh_jZpUJOaCe-YV3e4PdKsdqW4D74Cce2ZMOSnAr6yfkjXJoTYJxhBkWEMwhHPWmjFVTx87rkB3ehNQ9iJdwqIr8atXeyuU1qrJeeOcJcDRM/s1600/DSCF1098.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhfqLPyDYru-1GpK8pILfRDd1xJ5y_EZJxWh_jZpUJOaCe-YV3e4PdKsdqW4D74Cce2ZMOSnAr6yfkjXJoTYJxhBkWEMwhHPWmjFVTx87rkB3ehNQ9iJdwqIr8atXeyuU1qrJeeOcJcDRM/s320/DSCF1098.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">The balloons were simply created using circle punches and the Stampin' Up! Owl builder punch. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Since I'm not one to let things go to waste in my crafting room, I saved the negative pieces of deco fail and used them to make the thank you's. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">While I suggested that my daughter simple sign her name to the inside of the card, she <em>insisted</em> that she wanted to write a message to each card she was sending out. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
For this card I utilized the retired stamp set from Stampin' Up! called Crosses of Hope. The inspiration came from The Outlawz Challenges for Saturday that include the theme of Valentine's or Love in Mind.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I stamped the cross in black ink and used watercolor pencils to flowers and leaves. To give the cross a sparkle, I added Wink of Stella. For the heart surrounding the cross, I used Sizzix layering heart dies.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br /><br />
I heat embossed "God Bless You" with white embossing powder. The hearts on either side are from Stampin' Up! Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack.<br />

I'm finally able and have a strong desire to get back at getting my scrapbooks up-to-date! Here's a very simple page I made to honor my sweet Brodie, who passed away 2 years ago.<br />
<br />
I used my BossKut Gazelle to cut the main light blue image and her name.<br />

</div><div align="left" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Sometimes it just takes new stamps to get that crafty mojo going. I've truly been in a slump lately and for Christmas purchased the <a href="http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=139728" target="_blank">Peaceful Pines by Stampin' Up!</a>, the <a href="http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=139665" target="_blank">coordinating dies</a>, and the adorable <a href="http://www.stampendous.com/products-page/ssc1184-build-a-snowman-perfectly-clear-stamp-set/" target="_blank">Build a Snowman set by Stampendous</a>.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Then with some inspiration from The Outlawz Challenges, I finally found my crafty mojo!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">For the pine, I started by stamping it in VersaMark and then heat embossed it with white embossing powder. With the coordinating die, I cut it out and set it aside.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">On white cardstock, I stamped the snowman and the sentiment. I colored in the hat, glove, and added some lines to the scarf.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Using some dimensionals I made the tree stand out a little on front, like the snowman was hiding behinding it. Then glued on the white pom pom as a snowball in his glove.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I added a couple snowflakes into the empty space that looked lonely. :o) At that point, I thought I was done . . . but it just didn't feel right to have the tree "appear as it was floating" on the page.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">So using an additional piece of white cardstock, giving it a curve, I added it to the bottom of the card with dimensionals.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZtF3hSKfK5esUZcuxPXEEgjA2fsCObbhlnPL88x8P8nk8wFO5O7WKENsEatDvXnHYuIjuP6Nc6z344KzKeA3ujWbkgtBIx8sezClZamqXzsQfr5r97Z9EYiK8y0O5ctB_i2WN8Cbdw1M/s1600/DSCF1107.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZtF3hSKfK5esUZcuxPXEEgjA2fsCObbhlnPL88x8P8nk8wFO5O7WKENsEatDvXnHYuIjuP6Nc6z344KzKeA3ujWbkgtBIx8sezClZamqXzsQfr5r97Z9EYiK8y0O5ctB_i2WN8Cbdw1M/s320/DSCF1107.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I really LOVE how this card turned out and I'm really looking forward to getting back at crafting!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div>One of my all time most favorite movies is without a doubt The Polar Express. This project is, of course, inspired from that very movie. Wanting to keep the magic alive for as long as possible, I created these tickets and gave them to my children.<br />
<br />
After a little search on the wonderful world wide web, I found a beautiful printable ticket. I printed it out on photo paper. Then on one side of the front and back, using a <span style="font-family: "Calibri",sans-serif; font-size: 11pt; line-height: 107%; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-bidi; mso-fareast-font-family: Calibri; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin;">¾" </span>circle punch to add in a notch. The reason I only did one was to make it easier to line the front and back together.<br />
<br />
Using my Xyron Creative Station, I put permanent adhesive on the front and the back copies of the <br />
ticket. Then using the notches, I lined up the front and the back together.<br />
<br />
Using a pair of scissors I trimmed up the edges and notched the other side of the ticket using the <span style="font-family: "Calibri",sans-serif; font-size: 11pt; line-height: 107%; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-bidi; mso-fareast-font-family: Calibri; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin;">¾"</span> circle punch.<br />
<br />
Then with the crop-a-dile, I punched out the word "BELIEVE" using the <span style="font-family: "Calibri",sans-serif; font-size: 11pt; line-height: 107%; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-bidi; mso-fareast-font-family: Calibri; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin;">⅛</span>" hole punch. To make sure that I was able to maintain the integrity of the holes, I printed out another ticket that had believe punched out of it. Then printed it up and used a clip to hold the template together with the tickets. Fortunately, I was able to do many tickets at once because I am not the conductor and it took A LOT longer to punch out.<br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><br />
As always, I've learned ways that could possibly give it a more completed look (according to me) and possibly make it a little easier for me. A cute little project that will hopefully provide a little magic for a few years.<br />

<br /><br />
For this simple project I started out with a few of the picture Christmas cards I had left on hand. Using the 2¾" circle die from the Spellbinders Nestabilities Standard Circles, I positioned it over the picture of my children and ran it through my Big Shot. I also cut out the sentiment from my card and added that to the backside. The red cardstock was cut using the <span style="font-family: "Times New Roman",serif; font-size: 12pt; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-language: EN-US;">3¼" circle die from the same Spellbinders set.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman",serif; font-size: 12pt; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-language: EN-US;"><br /></span><br />
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman",serif; font-size: 12pt; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-language: EN-US;">I glued all 3 pieces together and while the glue was still somewhat wet, gently rolled them to insert them into the opening of the clear plastic disc ornament. Once the picture was in, I used my bone folder to gently flatten it and make sure the picture was flat to the cardstock.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman",serif; font-size: 12pt; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-language: EN-US;"><br /></span><br />

I'm already tossing ideas around in my head for what I can make for next year. These are great personalized gifts and will be fun to reminisce in years to come.</span><br />

<br />
I know I'm late in getting this posted but with 2 young children on Spring break, I didn't have a whole lot of time. :o)<br />
<br />
For this very simple project, I simply cut out the images I wanted to use and we used those as stencils on the pavement.<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">
<o:p> </o:p></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhouo2E4Mp8ELhkC3Ry4D-PSr2O3a4MQUhkBUlf4eeYobNkY-QZsDIAtRmI3WTkvgbgxEWVxAsVEgkJqWh8vfuuk19k34ZysAFnBKnRmWS6hvjMd6xtboDrsKzL75U8t82vbewHZycUa6s/s1600/DSCF0436.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhouo2E4Mp8ELhkC3Ry4D-PSr2O3a4MQUhkBUlf4eeYobNkY-QZsDIAtRmI3WTkvgbgxEWVxAsVEgkJqWh8vfuuk19k34ZysAFnBKnRmWS6hvjMd6xtboDrsKzL75U8t82vbewHZycUa6s/s1600/DSCF0436.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
We ended up decorating the complete sidewalk in front of our house!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_d3yCXDMmXTe6mjWU3F2vm0Q4Ggdu2gqYVQx2XIo10y4UsOw9rM9oO_l9W0-In9oh-ANXwikfJps4KvWG50IlP-qSImmXUhron-1uvjbRquXLLFAfzPJaFkmylImAMZk7CPwYhcUnSvA/s1600/DSCF0433.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_d3yCXDMmXTe6mjWU3F2vm0Q4Ggdu2gqYVQx2XIo10y4UsOw9rM9oO_l9W0-In9oh-ANXwikfJps4KvWG50IlP-qSImmXUhron-1uvjbRquXLLFAfzPJaFkmylImAMZk7CPwYhcUnSvA/s1600/DSCF0433.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
During our coloring, we discovered that when we rubbed the chalk into the cement after we went over the stencil that we were able to obtain a better image and the colors blended together.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">
<o:p> </o:p></div>

<br />
We received MANY compliments on our colorful and creative sidewalks while people were out walking. :o)<br />
<br />
We had so much fun with this images that we're looking forward to making more for Memorial day! Be sure to check out the other beautiful designs at <a href="http://bosskut.com/product-category/bosskut_digital_designs/" target="_blank">Bosskut</a>!!<br />

<br />
With the help of the WONDERFUL ladies at the <a href="http://www.bosskutforum.com/index.php" target="_blank">BossKut Forum</a> I was <em>finally</em> able to learn how to use the intersect tool in Funtime to put words into a shape!<br />
<br />
Now I've always wanted to be able to do this but wasn't even sure where to start. When I found this video on <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hOhsdX1qwxI&index=1&list=FLZ_vCjCovzLEFCdPILzoVYg" target="_blank">YouTube (Text to Heart Shape)</a> I just knew that this could also be easily accomplished in Funtime.<br />
<br />
After playing with it on my own for a bit and having some success I began to wonder if there was an easier way. With that, I went to <a href="http://www.bosskutforum.com/index.php" target="_blank">BossKut Forum</a> to <a href="http://www.bosskutforum.com/showthread.php?5634-Putting-Words-into-a-Shape" target="_blank">seek help</a> from the awesome and talented Terri and Jules. Now with the knowledge that they've armed me with, I'm here to share with you a tutorial on how to create these fun images! First, here's my first ever attempt at a video.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen="" class="YOUTUBE-iframe-video" data-thumbnail-src="https://i.ytimg.com/vi/BtVbF455wrw/0.jpg" frameborder="0" height="266" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/BtVbF455wrw?feature=player_embedded" width="320"></iframe></div>
<o:p></o:p><br />
<o:p>Now for the written explanation. In Funtime, I start with a 12x12 work surface. On the right, select SHAPES and scroll down to the full heart that is available. Remove the fill color and change the line thickness to 0.003. Size the heart as large as you'd like and what makes it easiest for you to work with.</o:p><br />
<o:p></o:p><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwPE8FzGn5EPyi7sdAHC_IoLzAjxJOq67VnBR4BThsO_mTJQwDsb0IO-IqJPrTlPJR62MP5NJvLSN_mH0f9NGGbcrATDFk88CvcVWVCeD-vi4n-65UFwsdPxbVJlwkDTlzVlGFAuIKFm8/s1600/TtH001.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwPE8FzGn5EPyi7sdAHC_IoLzAjxJOq67VnBR4BThsO_mTJQwDsb0IO-IqJPrTlPJR62MP5NJvLSN_mH0f9NGGbcrATDFk88CvcVWVCeD-vi4n-65UFwsdPxbVJlwkDTlzVlGFAuIKFm8/s1600/TtH001.jpg" height="256" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Then select FONT, click on True Type, and choose a font you'd like to work with. In this case, I used the IMPACT font. Type "FAMILY" (all in capital letters) and click OK.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZBsr2BIn0NaUNWZ5L07FA8ziV-lwRpEiT3eXjvYe5_ZqJquj_l6vNBs5JX3Gn6aNdTgBgrCKZ_W2UJ2Y3oQuhChX91EiN9u6FK-xhIIGkOoOJoY_FN3HJxrpkg70vhJbj2t_Um3v-3kI/s1600/TtH002.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZBsr2BIn0NaUNWZ5L07FA8ziV-lwRpEiT3eXjvYe5_ZqJquj_l6vNBs5JX3Gn6aNdTgBgrCKZ_W2UJ2Y3oQuhChX91EiN9u6FK-xhIIGkOoOJoY_FN3HJxrpkg70vhJbj2t_Um3v-3kI/s1600/TtH002.jpg" height="256" width="320" /></a></div>
<o:p></o:p><br />
<o:p>Size "FAMILY" so that it extends just over the heart on the left and the right. With just "FAMILY" selected, in the upper left, select TEXT, then CONVERT TEXT TO PATH. This will allow you adjust each letter individually. A good thing to keep in mind at this point, when you converted the text to path, that also made each cut in the middle of the letters, like the "A" a separate cut as well.</o:p><br />
<o:p></o:p><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhW_XI5McWDpOrbSsjZ39LqJbm_nOqXtTyUTuuvrFPSYDc4WzFZMi2QyHM8IY_EpykD2wIo3NezL3rwZwklJk8MzI4TUUsbXZZsit9E15lFiJ5FjGp4HJhqMi6uZO_pJ-2A6mZG0DyR0CY/s1600/TtH003.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhW_XI5McWDpOrbSsjZ39LqJbm_nOqXtTyUTuuvrFPSYDc4WzFZMi2QyHM8IY_EpykD2wIo3NezL3rwZwklJk8MzI4TUUsbXZZsit9E15lFiJ5FjGp4HJhqMi6uZO_pJ-2A6mZG0DyR0CY/s1600/TtH003.jpg" height="256" width="320" /></a></div>
<o:p></o:p><br />
<o:p>Before going any further it is a good idea to select the inner and outer cut of the "A." Once both are selected, group them together so that when you go to adjust the "A" in the heart, you maintain the integrity of the "A." </o:p><br />
<o:p></o:p><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg7zhbfC2wttY-fXFXCkzshq0tK-qNJlS8zrPNU0GWmIFejQWd4gQF8HYnDZ7V3wJ6KkBB9qBX_j6BWErDqkHQW9UJ7nJ_SrVZkAJI3xXE6Yq8DQ94Bo-8YLgpC3hFMFT6kHYoDgGNYW7w/s1600/TtH004.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg7zhbfC2wttY-fXFXCkzshq0tK-qNJlS8zrPNU0GWmIFejQWd4gQF8HYnDZ7V3wJ6KkBB9qBX_j6BWErDqkHQW9UJ7nJ_SrVZkAJI3xXE6Yq8DQ94Bo-8YLgpC3hFMFT6kHYoDgGNYW7w/s1600/TtH004.jpg" height="256" width="320" /></a></div>
<o:p></o:p><br />
<o:p>At this point I usually start working the letter that I would like centered in the heart. For this example I'm going to start working with the "M." Selecting just the "M", I move it to the center of the heart and readjust the size by clicking and dragging on the points just outside the letter. It's important to make sure that the top and the bottom of the "M" is just outside the heart in some places.</o:p><br />
<o:p></o:p><br />
<o:p>I'm not worried about the overlapping letters or the spacing. I'm simply working on the "M" and it's placement. Once I'm happy with the "M" I will work on the other letters to get them where I want them.</o:p><br />
<o:p></o:p><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6FX8GfXoSXyIOVvZeOt02QRYFVusVIVKqtSUOj_JgplTwca8hIs8pqpdGSgBZl5ILGaoPRFkcUtoOkkBPEdgw3aNLUxovmBkDzCuBO5xyAuSrmZvfV28J4lIc0u7kwSm9YuNsW3lAPEc/s1600/TtH005.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6FX8GfXoSXyIOVvZeOt02QRYFVusVIVKqtSUOj_JgplTwca8hIs8pqpdGSgBZl5ILGaoPRFkcUtoOkkBPEdgw3aNLUxovmBkDzCuBO5xyAuSrmZvfV28J4lIc0u7kwSm9YuNsW3lAPEc/s1600/TtH005.jpg" height="256" width="320" /></a></div>
<o:p></o:p><br />
<o:p>Now that I'm good with the "M", I work on the letters, making sure that they are also extended past the heart at the tops and bottoms.</o:p><br />
<o:p></o:p><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg3Jo73mK7JD2lvU5tdsxvbUqoJIjl_ZqAF7_0eLyLE0JFUt4C9psRm4tzvfnQVvRb0o9nNZIfVbKqPnCpDPLbTFGLHtridEkyX55R5HjKrHINrjl_Mgi5Fh1I-pe1jZo60okxZnfEnsj8/s1600/TtH006.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg3Jo73mK7JD2lvU5tdsxvbUqoJIjl_ZqAF7_0eLyLE0JFUt4C9psRm4tzvfnQVvRb0o9nNZIfVbKqPnCpDPLbTFGLHtridEkyX55R5HjKrHINrjl_Mgi5Fh1I-pe1jZo60okxZnfEnsj8/s1600/TtH006.jpg" height="256" width="320" /></a></div>
<o:p></o:p><br />
For the next part it'll be easier to see the construction points of each of the letters so that we can continue to extend them past the heart. To do this, first select the C at the bottom of Funtime with the dots on it. Then on the left of the screen select the move point tool.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1Kvjo_RVqyFwNYH50rDgRyw330fwSFITyCCzXb_0NjY_vwmNN2IJbfMWWD4DMdCOP-5ld95NgXgnSw5rslonnF_SF9ewKM_so_zi8tQNYDiKO7kYopjiyM1OLBuORa2FYxQl4L2kIPAg/s1600/TtH007.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1Kvjo_RVqyFwNYH50rDgRyw330fwSFITyCCzXb_0NjY_vwmNN2IJbfMWWD4DMdCOP-5ld95NgXgnSw5rslonnF_SF9ewKM_so_zi8tQNYDiKO7kYopjiyM1OLBuORa2FYxQl4L2kIPAg/s1600/TtH007.jpg" height="256" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Then select a construction point on the "F" and extent past the heart. When I do this part, I choose the points of the letters and keep the line as straight as possible to maintain the integrity and identity of each letter.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhsH0OTh4VprxTi_HKRA-9aQX9cahC0YdLcj8zGfvK6OQ_mdYoruBFb1Ho1CJoqPdPd1QH1oPlcF1qAj3krRiuPziG43cDDIRyqsx_TGqCJisqp4rkrvf3j-YQ_V0ggIMSP__xVnBx0wfc/s1600/TtH008.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhsH0OTh4VprxTi_HKRA-9aQX9cahC0YdLcj8zGfvK6OQ_mdYoruBFb1Ho1CJoqPdPd1QH1oPlcF1qAj3krRiuPziG43cDDIRyqsx_TGqCJisqp4rkrvf3j-YQ_V0ggIMSP__xVnBx0wfc/s1600/TtH008.jpg" height="256" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I continue this with each letter until they have all been completed and it will look something like this when you are done:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtYP3H_giNbq6O6y8a35tH70b-4md3haHc1z5jF5YDncTw_FhH-n5kgltdr2Sq7DAJNPADet1N-pIfUxqvZ14nGZJ6J11PhZmswILoOfxFTRuyVPYfLSyGPuqavJncxKG52Ed6zB9PrBc/s1600/TtH009.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtYP3H_giNbq6O6y8a35tH70b-4md3haHc1z5jF5YDncTw_FhH-n5kgltdr2Sq7DAJNPADet1N-pIfUxqvZ14nGZJ6J11PhZmswILoOfxFTRuyVPYfLSyGPuqavJncxKG52Ed6zB9PrBc/s1600/TtH009.jpg" height="256" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Once you're happy with how each letter looks extended past the heart, click on the C at the bottom of Funtime to hide the construction points again.<br />
<br />
Make sure to select<strong> everything</strong>, the heart and <em>all</em> the letters. At the top of the screen select, TOOLS and then INTERSECTION.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj39AV-gRYFk69kVaR1h-VD_lwlpwyBACwXmWHx96-xlp5W3a6PdQH_HSojTq7A9BQ3gpoZ3GAqaJhfc3gSFxn0aZF3wGKOut5Smq7iP87uE2T-S9hyphenhyphenseo2VNqBfC1K3b736wmLE3sikwM/s1600/TtH010.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj39AV-gRYFk69kVaR1h-VD_lwlpwyBACwXmWHx96-xlp5W3a6PdQH_HSojTq7A9BQ3gpoZ3GAqaJhfc3gSFxn0aZF3wGKOut5Smq7iP87uE2T-S9hyphenhyphenseo2VNqBfC1K3b736wmLE3sikwM/s1600/TtH010.jpg" height="256" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Once again, select everything and group them together. This will help in maintaining the image when/if you decide to resize it.<br />

<br />
We recently moved and because of the move my daughter had to relocate schools. This month her new school has been celebrating reading with a different theme each week. This week is centered around her school.<br />
<br />
She's supposed to wear cloths that support the school. Unfortunately for us, the PTO sold shirts at the beginning of the school year and don't have any more. Well, I couldn't send her to school without some school gear and colors!!<br />
<br />
After playing around in the Funtime program, I came up with a couple of designs. I asked family and friends which one they liked best but ultimately it was up to my daughter.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgr50m04FxzQ9pkfhwrycncL4Z_KFFqefo1rUWa7YmK9lzGkP_QHaHDN3ZDnWwdIgacozwXCQrs6w9UahfGzSlLlmpSYZJBLfZhz0vFQvSmA0jItpFc3Zqge0QnlWoGnP76JVL1e1GwIuE/s1600/20913_406299362884882_8313068951367203713_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgr50m04FxzQ9pkfhwrycncL4Z_KFFqefo1rUWa7YmK9lzGkP_QHaHDN3ZDnWwdIgacozwXCQrs6w9UahfGzSlLlmpSYZJBLfZhz0vFQvSmA0jItpFc3Zqge0QnlWoGnP76JVL1e1GwIuE/s1600/20913_406299362884882_8313068951367203713_n.jpg" height="320" width="303" /></a></div>
<br />
She picked the blue design because it was easier for her to read.<br />
<br />
<o:p>While she was at school one day I cut the image and ironed it onto the shirt that we got for her. Fortunately she LOVED it!</o:p><br />

<br />
I've seen this sentiment or something similar used and have always loved the welcoming feel of it. Most times it is made with indoor vinyl and placed inside but I wanted to decorate our boring white front door.<br />
<br />
Using my Funtime program, I created the sentiment and positioned it how I wanted it placed. With Funtime, this project is really very simple and took little time to complete.<br />
<o:p></o:p><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0TpNSF2CESzqs0-DAS4DAXK3-0TcDtUO2Ycca-4IvX00mKB3gJInyQqLiAw_mwoU5nMrzn48pbTBCgcQyRJugpo1b4pcIAZESvJmSVUw3_t-dWPlrGjyRZy9lf6B-DrZY90eXdnmSn9I/s1600/10915278_375715769276575_8382758763870689076_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0TpNSF2CESzqs0-DAS4DAXK3-0TcDtUO2Ycca-4IvX00mKB3gJInyQqLiAw_mwoU5nMrzn48pbTBCgcQyRJugpo1b4pcIAZESvJmSVUw3_t-dWPlrGjyRZy9lf6B-DrZY90eXdnmSn9I/s1600/10915278_375715769276575_8382758763870689076_n.jpg" height="251" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
After cutting the vinyl in black outdoor vinyl, I weeded the negative space off and placed transfer tape on it. I eyed the center as best I could and put it on the front door.<br />

<br />
At my parents home they get A LOT of solicitors, so my Mom asked me to make them a "No Soliciting" sign.<br />
<br />
We found a sentiment that she loved and I got to work in Funtime using different fonts. Creating the design and letting my Gazelle cut it was the easy part! I used transfer paper to move the design to the wooden post and that's where my part ended. :o)<br />
<br />
My parents took that home, added quite a few layers of sealant over the vinyl and wood. Then added the post to ground and secured the sign to post.<br />
<br />
I can't wait to see if this makes any difference to the amount of solicitors they receive!<br />

Here's a simple project that I create for my children each year for the month of their birthday. Using Microsoft Word I add in the border to a customized paper size. Then simply use text boxes to add in the date, countdown days, and additional text.<br />
<br />
Then I use my crop-a-dile to add in the holes at the top of each card so that I can put them up for my babies to rip each day off.<br />

<br />
My goal will be to eventually add in actual chores but for starts my hubby and I have decided to start with encouraging our kiddos to do their morning tasks on their own. We've been using this a few weeks now and I will say that it has really improved their willingness to do their morning routines with enthuasim.<br />
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgs_Fl9S1nWODVuwjpX_efj9ZJ6bfOLFB46PTFEKk3UT1XaGtBzj5LaXc1jHBi4Uq-5FB2eD2UiTuF74rF78V9S_rH_jICoryN_MW2xsvtoQ8gJdFweoUAlADVtb-QTavBwt7A2-2Pljvs/s1600/Chore+List+(3).JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgs_Fl9S1nWODVuwjpX_efj9ZJ6bfOLFB46PTFEKk3UT1XaGtBzj5LaXc1jHBi4Uq-5FB2eD2UiTuF74rF78V9S_rH_jICoryN_MW2xsvtoQ8gJdFweoUAlADVtb-QTavBwt7A2-2Pljvs/s1600/Chore+List+(3).JPG" height="268" width="320" /></a></div>
<o:p></o:p><br />
I created the chart and the chores in Microsoft Publisher. After I printed the sheets out, I ran them through my Xyron using the Laminate/Magnet Refill Cartridge. The laminate makes it possible to use a dry erase marker to check off chores that they completed.<br />
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGi4muYPB8LZIDNvEMZAm4DLosBf_UWR0yLmuwGmC2zq3SGQd-J0g8V_KEuUgPACWEmi7wxUgqKoqDerAQ38C10ZLUj4o5V06AcihqKu63H5XKs2hFmnnCVOEa3IlNUmKogwVVjM2GcIw/s1600/Chore+List+(2).JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGi4muYPB8LZIDNvEMZAm4DLosBf_UWR0yLmuwGmC2zq3SGQd-J0g8V_KEuUgPACWEmi7wxUgqKoqDerAQ38C10ZLUj4o5V06AcihqKu63H5XKs2hFmnnCVOEa3IlNUmKogwVVjM2GcIw/s1600/Chore+List+(2).JPG" height="259" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I spaced the chores in Microsoft Publisher so that when I was ready, I could use the <a href="http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=126883" target="_blank">Stampin' Up! Ticket Duo Builder Punch 126883</a> to punch them out. With the computer paper, laminate, and magnet that really put my punch through a work out. Not so sure I would recommend it but hey, I'm willing to give it a try! :o)<br />
<br />
Since I ran the chore list through the Laminate/Magnet Refill Cartridge, they easily stick to the chore list on the refridgerator and I can move/changed the chores as my kiddos grow.<br />
<br />
I've already created additional age appropriate chores and will be printing those out soon so that we can start working together as a team to keep the household moving together.<br />
<br />

<br />
With my daughter starting kindergarten next year and my son going into a pre-school, I've decided to help give them a head start by working on things that they are going to need. So as we enjoy this summer, we will be using what is around us and the things we are doing to help those little lessons. The goal is to make this fun so that they have no idea what that they're learning. :o)<br />
<br />
For this exercise I wanted to be able to incorporate several aspects of learning. Using a 3 day system (yesterday, today, and tomorrow) my goal is to give them a better understanding of time without stretching too far into the week (we'll do that when I get to making the calendar). It also gives us the opportunity to learn "what happened yesterday" and what the weather looks like today. Then together, we look at the forecasted weather for tomorrow.<br />
<br />
So far both my kiddos have enjoyed doing this and I'VE had to remember to moved the weather symbols YESTERDAY so that each get a chance to try it.<br />
<br />
To create my chart and weather symbols I used Publisher. I will be making these available for download just as soon as I get the hosting site set up and the chart exported as a PDF (hopefully this week 6/17/14).<br />
<br />
After creating everything I needed, I printed it all out on regular 20# computer paper. I ran each sheet through my <a href="http://shop.hobbylobby.com/products/900-laminating-machine-787085/" target="_blank">Xyron 900 laminating machine</a> using the Laminate/Magnet Refill Cartridge. Then cut everything down to the size. The chart is 9" x 6" and the weather symbols are 2.5" x 2.5."<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbw6PNgxdxdlOlgDd2wrwW3mgX6GaDLfBsHgugDz-0Cnu_gBfF94LjZ_eE5mkVVNMO6Sj2KU2v8FRUE4s8MmmCBrs3Vw9KI2AEVxufkIVfjrHuQfdHRJbDEuGy76FQi9E4bHBSmb5kL6Y/s1600/Weather+(2).JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhbw6PNgxdxdlOlgDd2wrwW3mgX6GaDLfBsHgugDz-0Cnu_gBfF94LjZ_eE5mkVVNMO6Sj2KU2v8FRUE4s8MmmCBrs3Vw9KI2AEVxufkIVfjrHuQfdHRJbDEuGy76FQi9E4bHBSmb5kL6Y/s1600/Weather+(2).JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<o:p></o:p><br />
<o:p>I'm also in the process of making some worksheets that will help with writing their letters and spelling words that correspond to weather. I will also share those just as soon as I've finished creating them.</o:p><br />
<o:p></o:p><br />
<o:p>I was inspired to create all of these by doing research on things for the kiddos and I to do this summer that would help them in the coming school year. One of my favorite sites and that I frequent is <a href="http://www.confessionsofahomeschooler.com/" target="_blank">Confessions of a Homeschooler</a>. Be sure to check out her site and take full advantage of the items she has made available! I have EVERY intention of purchasing her <a href="http://www.confessionsofahomeschooler.com/u-s-geography" target="_blank">Road Trip USA.</a></o:p><br />

<br />
For my birthday this year I got a Keurig. It took me a bit to transition from my coffee pot to the Keurig but then again when my coffee pot died I didn't really have any other options. My biggest concern was the cost of the "K-cups" so I ended up purchasing those reuseable cafe cups.<br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">
<o:p> </o:p></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
My next concern was how plain it looked in my kitchen! :o)<br />
<br />
The first addition was adding the amount of the cup sizes since my dearest hubby and guests constantly ask me what the ounces were to each of the cups. Of course noticing the circle shapes of the buttons, I decided to add my own "hidden Mickey."<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZHfwqDy7UZoGyqTpxfdWJfh2XuM06wZNGgX5XBkcwgrlSkRGIY0X3IBi_Miz1Qpp9SLcJY1PrR7kuTwpc1rVJiqKq-6lBR_45ystNy6rV_qhzHIfqw3OZq_m19lvVJUycdHtnJ3ZJjVY/s1600/DSCF9353.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZHfwqDy7UZoGyqTpxfdWJfh2XuM06wZNGgX5XBkcwgrlSkRGIY0X3IBi_Miz1Qpp9SLcJY1PrR7kuTwpc1rVJiqKq-6lBR_45ystNy6rV_qhzHIfqw3OZq_m19lvVJUycdHtnJ3ZJjVY/s1600/DSCF9353.JPG" height="194" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
After searching the internet for some coffee inspiration, I found that I really liked the "coffeeology." Using several different fonts, I re-created it in my Funtime program.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

During my internet search I also found this adorable coffee cup and steam made with hearts. Absolutely loved it and converted it to a cut file and added it to the water reservoir.<br />

<strong>Materials:</strong> Card stock, pop dots, chalk or ink for shading<br />
<br />
This simple card was made for a special little girl whose first birthday theme was Old McDonald. Using the <a href="https://designsoncloud9.com/funny-farm.html" target="_blank">Funny Farm by Designs on Cloud 9</a> file, I cut out the farm, pig, and bear. <br />

<br />
With a little shading, I'm really happy with how these adorable cuts put together!<br />
<br />
In the Funtime program, I created the oval and made a copy of it so that I had 2 of them. I layered a 1 (one) on top of one of the ovals so that it would cut out. After cutting the ovals, using pop dots, I layered one on top of the other for additional dimension.<br />

<br />
Adding the shading to the tulips took A LOT of time but I feel it was well worth it when I was finished. I just love what it adds to punch art when you take the time to do the little extras!<br />

<o:p>I know, A LOT late in getting these posted. I've been VERY neglectful in getting blog posts wrote up and pictures taken of my projects this year. I made these for the WONDERFUL ladies that teach my children in their pre-school.</o:p></div>

<o:p></o:p> </div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">
<o:p>I wanted the names to be straight on the buckets. In order to do that, I needed to figure out the dimensions of the cone that made the buckets. Fortunately for me, my dearest hubby is an engineer and I could rely on him to teach me how to figure it out. :o) Here's what I used to figure out the arc for my writing. I honestly don't remember where I got this from and wish that I could link to it directly.</o:p></div>

<div class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;">
<o:p>It looks A LOT more difficult than it really is. I liked the fact that I could cut the names in the arc, use transfer tape to maintain the integrity of the design, and it would be straight on the bucket.</o:p></div>

I had so much fun putting this wine glass together! My sister got this beautiful Air Force Wife wine glass and I immediately wanted an Army Wife one. Well, instead of buying one that I found online, I chose to open up my Funtime program and get to work. This made it easy to create the wine glass EXACTLY how I wanted it.<br />
<br />
I used 4 images and I'm still debating if I want to add to the stem of the glass.<br />

<br />
Finally got to the first 3 pages of the <a href="http://jamiescraftroom.blogspot.com/2013/12/scrapbook-and-journal.html" target="_blank">beautiful scrapbook</a> that my dearest hubby bought me while deployed to Kuwait. Now that I've got started, the ideas are flooding with what to do with additional pages!<br />
<br />
For the first page, I wanted to honor my husband and the beautiful gift he gave me. I started with one of my most favorite pics of him from the deployment. For the write-up, I simply inserted a picture of a Kuwait map into Word and used the washed out option. Then I typed up some minimal information regarding his deployment and printed it out. VERY simple!! I cut it out to the size I wanted and then inked the edges for some additional dimension.<br />
<br />
This beautiful file, <a href="http://scrapcuts.com/Heart-with-Ribbon-JS1511.htm" target="_blank">Heart with Ribbon #JS1511</a>, I got from <a href="http://scrapcuts.com/main.sc" target="_blank">Scrap Cuts by Judy</a>! I felt it was the perfect accent to this first page that showed where my love and support is.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Of course I had to do an additional second and third page because I had a few more pictures that I wanted to display along with a sweet card that he sent me.<br />

<strong>Files Used:</strong> <a href="http://scrapcuts.com/Baby-Bib-with-Bows-JS-1608.htm" target="_blank">Baby Bib with Bows by Scrapcuts by Judy</a><br />
<strong>Materials:</strong> Heat transfer vinyl, plain white baby onsies<br />
<br />
My cousin approached me and asked if I would be willing to make her some onsies for her great niece that is due in January. Well, obviously I said yes and here is a result of that request. She gave me the sentiments that she wanted and I chose fonts, layouts, and designs.<br />
<br />
For some of them I referred to the internet for inspiration.<br />
<br />
The first onsie below with the bows I had originally wanted to add the complete file <a href="http://scrapcuts.com/Baby-Bib-with-Bows-JS-1608.htm" target="_blank">Baby Bib with Bows by Scrapcuts by Judy</a> but was having some issues with getting the bib to fit how I wanted it on the onsie. It's such a beautiful file and I didn't want to distort the image too much and risk loosing the beauty of it. So, I chose to use the bows from the file and add a layered necklace.<br />
<br />
Simple designs that add just the right touch to a plain white onsie.<br />

<b>Machine Used:</b> BossKut Gazelle<br />
<b>Software:</b> Funtime Scrapbooking IV<br />
<strong>Files Used:</strong> <a href="http://openclipart.org/detail/8539/simple-fruit-grapes-by-gerald_g-8539" target="_blank">Simple Fruit Grapes</a><br />
<strong>Materials:</strong> Oracal 631 vinyl, Armour Etch<br />
<br />
This simple project was created as a gift. I purchased a set of 4 white wine glasses, something I knew that she would like, and added a little personalization to them.<br />
<br />
For the first one, I started with the sentiment, "Aged to Perfection." I used the <a href="http://www.dafont.com/black-jack.font" target="_blank">BlackJack</a> true type font and welded the letters together in Funtime. It's one of my favorite fonts to work with lately because I love the look of it when it's welded together.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEit-E8heRDVMBI6ceciRpdAvAk_ERCO9zeorbue4VorjzyMh6Y-x_uCpo7PUdaiOhlV_zTT-dTPQC2rGxYVP6HhwBDVJXMPOyqW23DPXThwcXuQiw4KihtTQ7M1T_KJpfBXXIXGWQGXYFE/s1600/DSCF8943.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEit-E8heRDVMBI6ceciRpdAvAk_ERCO9zeorbue4VorjzyMh6Y-x_uCpo7PUdaiOhlV_zTT-dTPQC2rGxYVP6HhwBDVJXMPOyqW23DPXThwcXuQiw4KihtTQ7M1T_KJpfBXXIXGWQGXYFE/s200/DSCF8943.JPG" width="150" /></a></div>
<br />
From the <a href="http://openclipart.org/" target="_blank">Open Clip Art Library</a>, I downloaded the <a href="http://openclipart.org/detail/8539/simple-fruit-grapes-by-gerald_g-8539" target="_blank">Simple Fruit Grapes</a> and used the auto vecto feature in Funtime to create the cut file.<br />
<br />
For the second one I typed out "Mimi's Sippy Cup" in a true type font called first-grader.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEizPc5m6C5Q1AESF3-FprwHb8dQaYxQ0a8OjUZeyZy1GaHTbvrnB9U5lnlo-ZXt7bGumlv_aTFX7CeDZLw_G5qmo8H5ZLr_HBcVvZHN0DN3LTwZRkTwMBtgTDatAsDMVuVnzcMcF0LtV2I/s1600/DSCF8946.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEizPc5m6C5Q1AESF3-FprwHb8dQaYxQ0a8OjUZeyZy1GaHTbvrnB9U5lnlo-ZXt7bGumlv_aTFX7CeDZLw_G5qmo8H5ZLr_HBcVvZHN0DN3LTwZRkTwMBtgTDatAsDMVuVnzcMcF0LtV2I/s200/DSCF8946.JPG" width="150" /></a></div>
<br />
The third and the fourth took a little more time to complete. I stared with the initial of a first name and used the font Easy Street EPS. To create thicker lines, I outlined the letter and deleted the original inital. The benefit to doing this was create the thicker lines and then making it easier to see in the design on the wine glass.<br />

<br />
The first names were typed in <a href="http://www.dafont.com/black-jack.font" target="_blank">BlackJack</a> true type font and again I welded the letters together in Funtime.<br />
<br />
When I layered the intial and the name together it seemed as though the first name would be lost in the initial when they were etched together. To get the first name to appear on top of the initial I started by creating an outline around the name. Then in Funtime, I took the outline of the name and placed it where I wanted it to appear on the inital.<br />
<br />
Make sure to first select the border of the name, right click, and then select <strong>To front</strong>. This is important to make sure that you do because it is what will make the subtract function work the way we want for this application.<br />
<br />
Once you have the name on top of the initial, select both and select the icon on the left of your screen to Subtract all selected objects to the first element.<br />
<br />
Now if you go ahead a line up the name on top of the initial you will see a border around the name that goes through the inital.<br />
<br />
When you're ready to cut the vinyl, make sure to cut all of it together. That will make it easier and will keep the integrity of the design that you've just worked on!<br />

<strong>Materials:</strong> <a href="http://www.tipsfromatypicalmomblog.com/2012/12/better-than-salt-dough-homemade-clay.html" target="_blank">Better than salt dough recipe</a>, Christmas ornaments<br />
<br />
With one of the snowy days we had recently, the kiddos and I decided we wanted to get creative! Following this <o:p><a href="http://www.tipsfromatypicalmomblog.com/2012/12/better-than-salt-dough-homemade-clay.html" target="_blank">better than salt dough recipe,</a> we got ready to have some fun.</o:p><br />
<o:p></o:p><br />
<o:p>After making the dough and letting it cool off, I cut the images we wanted using the cookie cutters. The one I made for my furry baby, I used a heart and without much help from her, imprinted her paw into the dough. We then put all the cut outs into the oven to bake.</o:p><br />
<o:p></o:p><br />
<o:p>Once they were out of the oven and cooled off, we got to painting. Since the only paint I have in the house is a water based, kid friendly paint, that's what we went with. I'm thinking that an acryllic paint would most likely work best.</o:p><br />
<o:p></o:p><br />
<o:p>We had A LOT of fun and now have some ornaments to hand out to family!!</o:p><o:p> </o:p><br />
