Mary Poppins Mother's Day Card

Machine Used: Boss Kut Gazelle
Software: Funtime Scrapbooking III
BKD Files Used: Vintage Tag 0834
Materials: Cardstock, silver brads, rhinestones

Here's another card inspired by something I saw on Pinterest (what a great place for wonderful inspirations)!!  As soon as I saw it and someone specific came into mind and I knew I had to make it for her!!

In the Funtime software, I started by creating a standard 4.25 x 5.5 inch step card.  Then I imported the image of Mary Poppins and created a vector of her umbrella so that it would cut out as part of the card.  Using the same technique, I used Little City 2000 font that I downloaded from dafont.com and made the cityscape on the bottom.  I LOVE how easy it is to learn and work with the editting tools!!

I added in the sentiment, "You make Little Miss Mary Poppins look like a rookie."  In order to use the print and cut feature of my Gazzy, I made sure that the sentiment and little miss Mary Poppins were both in black and everything else was white.  This allowed me to print the part of the design that I wanted with my printer and the crop marks.  I "undid" the color changes and went in to the cutting control panel and selected the cut/score marks that I wanted to cut.

I then used my Gazzy to cut out the card around little miss Mary Poppins, the landscape, and the sentiment.  Super easy!!

Using my Mother's Day stamp, I stamped the Vintage Tag 0834 and placed it on a black outline.  With silver brads, I secured the sentiment to the card.  Then finished the card with some rhinestones.

A very simple card, that will hopefully make one special Momma feel adored.

Thanks for looking!!
