"For You" Card

Paper:  Whisper White (8 ½ X 11) 100730, Daffodil Delight (8½ X 11) 119683, Rich Razzleberry (8½ X 11) 115316, Designer Series Paper
Ink:  Daffodil Delight 126944, Pumpkin Pie 126945, Rich Razzleberry 126950
Stamp Sets Used:  A Round Array (clear) 129090
Punches:  Bird Builder 117191, ⅞" Scallop Circle 129404
{Frame}lits:  Floral Frames Collection 127012

For this simple card I used the bird wings from the Bird Builder Punch 117191.  I inked the edges with Daffodil Delight 126944 and the "base" of the tulip I added Pumpkin Pie 126945.

Adding the shading to the tulips took A LOT of time but I feel it was well worth it when I was finished.  I just love what it adds to punch art when you take the time to do the little extras!

Scrapbooking A Deployment

Machine Used: BossKut Gazelle
Software: Funtime Scrapbooking IV
Files Used: Heart with Ribbon #JS1511 by Scrap Cuts by Judy

Finally got to the first 3 pages of the beautiful scrapbook that my dearest hubby bought me while deployed to Kuwait.  Now that I've got started, the ideas are flooding with what to do with additional pages!

For the first page, I wanted to honor my husband and the beautiful gift he gave me.  I started with one of my most favorite pics of him from the deployment.  For the write-up, I simply inserted a picture of a Kuwait map into Word and used the washed out option.  Then I typed up some minimal information regarding his deployment and printed it out.  VERY simple!!  I cut it out to the size I wanted and then inked the edges for some additional dimension.

This beautiful file, Heart with Ribbon #JS1511, I got from Scrap Cuts by Judy!  I felt it was the perfect accent to this first page that showed where my love and support is.

Of course I had to do an additional second and third page because I had a few more pictures that I wanted to display along with a sweet card that he sent me.

For the second page I made sure to add some basic information regarding Kuwait and Camp Buehring.

The thank you stamp is of course from Stampin' Up!

With the third page, I added the card that he sent me and a picture of him at his favorite place!  :o)

The flag banner that I created is all from Stampin' Up!

2 different styles of crafting will be coming to a head here and I can't wait to see what the results will be!

Please be sure to check out my Stampin' Up! website for more information.  If you have ANY questions, or would like to host a part LET ME KNOW!!  I can't wait to share with you my love for crafting!

My First Card Class

I haven't been much into stamping but when the New Year was approaching I was beginning to look at ways to expand my craft and to learn new things.  This brought my attention to the many beautiful creations I've seen others make using Stampin' Up products.

I found a wonderful Stampin' Up Demonstrator in my area and have had the opportunity to bombard her with all of my questions.  She's been absolutely WONDERFUL in explaining things and helping me out!  Be sure to check out Lisa's blog at Chocolate Chip Stamping or her Facebook page!

Here are the cards that I put together at her March card class.

** All cards were designed by her and I simply assembled them. **

Maybe not the cleanest stamping but I'm learning!!  :o)  We've all got to start somewhere and I usually jump in both feet and figure it out from there.  Not always the wisest choice but when it comes to my crafting, I don't want to hesitate for fear of missing out on something GREAT!!
