Just Because Card
Machine Used: Boss Kut Gazelle
Software: Funtime Scrapbooking III
Files Used: O'Hannah Frame Mat by Judy Stark BDK128, Denny with Watering Can by Pink Gem Designs
Materials: Cardstock, rhinestones
Challenges: The Outlawz Twisted Thursday Challenge - Flowers and Rhinestone Twist
For this card I decided to do card using the adorable dragon that I've been holding on too forever! I just needed the right inspiration for it.
I started by creating the size card in Funtime and imported the dragon on to my card where I wanted it. After cutting the card out around the dragon I added some rhinestones to the flowers (after all, the twist is flowers AND rhinestones!).
Then using the new cut file from BossKut, I cut the basic frame mat from O'Hannah around the sentiment "Just because."
I added a couple of flowers (purchased from Michaels) on the front of the card with a rhinestone brad and some ribbon to the bottom.

Masculine Thank You Card
Machine Used: Boss Kut Gazelle
Software: Funtime Scrapbooking III
Materials: Cardstock, ribbon
My dearest husband asked me the other day if I could make a thank you card for him to send to his granddad.
I started by typing out "Thank You" in the true type font Papyrus and then cut out the card around it.
Inspired by a cardband that I saw on another card, I created a cut file using basic shapes in Funtime. I then layered that band on the darker blue and topped if off with a simple cream colored ribbon.
A very simple card for a very simple man! :o)

Grandfather Clock Step Card
Machine Used: Boss Kut Gazelle
Software: Funtime Scrapbooking III
Materials: Cardstock, ribbon
This card was submitted as part of the Outlawz Paper Ala Mode challenge, which required creating a project around the theme of time flies.
I started out with a simple step card and created a grandfather clock cutout to the tall part. The clock face I found at Open Clip Art Library. I then imported it into Funtime and utilized the print and cut feature.
I decided to try something new, and drew the top of the pendulum. Needless to say, I've learned that maybe I should stick to creating cut files and cut them out on cardstock instead. :o)

Angel Swing Card
Machine Used: Boss Kut Gazelle
Software: Funtime Scrapbooking III
Files Used: Angel
Materials: Cardstock, rhinestones, ribbon
I've submitted this card in the Outlawz Twisted Thursday Challenge. This week required incorporating an angel into the card. I found my angel within the Cre8tive Hands free digital stamps.
I also decided that having never tried a swing card before, I thought to give it a try! I started by importing my angel into Funtime. Using the print and cut feature available, I cut a square around the angel. I added glitter to the wings and stars and some rhinestones to the bottom right.
After creating a swing card in Funtime and different size layers for the borders, I cut out my card. I tied a pink ribbon.
A very simple card but I'm in love with the way it turned out! Now I just need to go out and buy sentiment stamp for the inside. :o)
The file for the swing card that I made is availabe for download in the Gazelle Owner's Forum in *File Sharing*

Lattice Card Challenge
Machine Used: Boss Kut Gazelle
Software: Funtime Scrapbooking III
Files Used: Ghost Pumpkin 0498, Haunted House by Olivia Myers 0486
Materials: Cardstock, silver brads, google eyes
For my card I chose to use a step card. After making a lattice of the front of the card, I rounded the corners of the diamond shapes of the lattice. Then I created a border, and trimmed it up a bit with the editting tools to create the fence look. I'll honestly admit that it took me some time creating this, with some trial and error BUT as it always works, I learned a lot!!
The Ghost Pumpkin 0498 and the Haunted House by Olivia Myers 0486 are both some fun Halloween files available at Boss Kut Die Cuts. As my daughter was going through my embellishments, she found the google eyes and we decided that it was a MUST for the pumpkin.
If you're a Gazelle owner, be sure to visit the Gazelle Owner's Forum to check out all the other beautiful lattice cards that members are making!!

Etched Drinking Glasses
Machine Used: Boss Kut Gazelle
Software: Funtime Scrapbooking III
Files Used: Skull and Cross Bones by Olivia Myers 0901
Materials: Drinking glass, etching cream, vinyl
The one thing crafters learn is that as family and friends learn of their ability, the requests we get to make things for others increases! I LOVE IT!! At times it's a way to go in directions that we wouldn't otherwise venture and others it's an idea for a gift that we know someone might love.
Then there's the website Pinterest, where there are ideas a plenty. A cousin of mine provided me with a picture of this etched glass and asked if it was something I could do. With a huge smile on my face all I could say was, with my Gazelle I can do anything!! Of course I told her that I could and made a trip to the store to find some glasses that would work.
The glasses that I found only came in a pack of 4, so I suggested adding the phrase to 2 of them and a skull and cross bones to the other 2. While it may be a little early still, these would be great for a Halloween party!! Add a little homemade dry ice rootbeer, also found on Pinterest, and you are all set!!
For the phrase "You have just been poisoned" I used the font Helvetica Medium available in the Funtime software. After making sure to use the weed and mirror option available in the cut menu, I cut it out on vinyl, and positioned it centered on the bottom of the glass. There were some minor imperfections on the bottom of the glass so I had to make sure that I removed ALL the air bubbles between the glass and the vinyl for a secure fit.
With the Skull and Cross Bones by Olivia Myers 0901, I started by placing the bones where I wanted them on the skull and created an outline of the whole thing. With the edit tools, I cut the bones so that they weren't going across the skull and connected the ends. I did have to do the little editting so that I could get the outline cut properly from the vinyl and that's yet ANOTHER reason I love my Gazelle, Funtime, and the video tutorials! The versatility and ease of use make it fun to create projects just as you would like them.
