Lil' Princess Tee Shirt

Machine Used: BossKut Gazelle
Software: Funtime Scrapbooking IV
Files Used: Butterfly with Flourishes 0395, Princess Hand Mirror by Judy Stark BKD 002
Materials: Heat Transfer Vinyl, Light Pink Rhinestones

I recently made a Service Flag tee shirt for my Mom and my daughter saw it.  That was the end of that, now she wanted me to make a shirt for her as well!

For her, I decided to add a little more Princess to it.  It was something that I thought that she would appreciate A LOT more.  :o)  I started by finding the perfect sentiment and worked in Funtime to get the layout just right.

I used the Funtime font, Impress BT Regular, for the majority of the sentiment.  "HERO" I used the true type font Army and for "Lil' Princess" I used the true type font CAC Champagne.

With Funtime, it made it so easy to add an outline to "Lil' Princess" so that I could incorporate my daughter's favorite colors.

Using the Butterfly with Flourishes 0395 and the Princess Hand Mirror by Judy Stark BKD 002 I positioned them around my sentiment.

I ironed on everything at once but the top layer of "Lil' Princess."  Once everything cooled a bit, I added the top layer of "Lil' Princess."  I love how easy it is to use more than one color of heat set vinyl and how well you can layer colors.

With everything in place, I needed to add a little bling to the crown.  Using Light Pink Rhinestones, I set them on the crown and using the already warm iron, I set them.

Overall I'm very happy with how this shirt turned out but I think that if I were to make another one I would use a lighter purple vinyl for the majority of the sentiment.

Service Flag Tee Shirt

Machine Used: BossKut Gazelle
Software: Funtime Scrapbooking IV
Materials: Easyweed Heat Transfer Vinyl

My Mom already has a service flag tee shirt that my Dad had bought her in the past.  However, if I'm remembering correctly, it only had 2 stars on it.  Now with 3 immediate family members deployed she needed a new one!  While she was wearing the one my Dad bought her I mentioned that she'd need on with 3 stars on it and the service members names on the back.

From there we talked about options and I told her that I'd get on it!  I ordered all my vinyl from Expressions Vinyl and I absolutely LOVED how easy this vinyl was to work with.

For the design I went to my Funtime Scrapbooking IV (available only with the Gazelle!) and layered 2 rectangles to create the base of the service flag.  Then I added 3 of the stars, making sure to round the corners just a tad (which you can't see in the design) so that they would cut better.

Using a very simple font, I typed out each of the service members rank, name, and branch of service.

When it came to ironing on my designs I needed to be careful because I was adding a design onto the front and back.  I ended up using a cutting board and placed it in the shirt.  Then following the instructions on the Expressions Vinyl website, I ironed on my designs.

A very simple project that speaks volumes!

A personal thank you to all our service men and women out there serving and a great BIG thank you to the families that stay home and support them!!

Wine Cork Shadowbox

Machine Used: BossKut Gazelle
Software: Funtime Scrapbooking IV
Materials: 11 x 14 Black Top Loading Shadowbox, Oracal 631 vinyl (indoor)

This project was inspired by a pin on Pinterest and this image I found on the internet.  I LOVE the idea of a single place to put all my wine corks.  Before I finished the shadowbox, I was collecting them in an oversized coffee cup and when that got full I transferred some of them to a plastic container.  I definitely needed a more creative place to keep them!

Once I decided to do this, I went straight to the internet to see if I could find a sentiment regarding wine that I would want on my shadowbox.  I also posted a message to Facebook to seek some guidance and suggestions from my wine drinking friends.  Of course in doing this, my sister decided she wanted one too!  That's not a problem when it comes to my Gazelle and Funtime.

I headed out to my favorite store to get some frames.  With the sale they had going on and the added coupon I got a GREAT deal on 2 of the 11 x 14 Black Top Loading Shadowbox.

Loved the way both of these turned out!!  Now we've got a place to store our wine corks until another project comes along and we need a few for that.  :o)

Vehicle Eyes

Machine Used: BossKut Gazelle
Software: Funtime Scrapbooking IV
Materials: Foam Board, contact paper

My dearest son is a HUGE Disney Cars fan.  If it isn't Lightning McQueen, then is has to be red.  For fun I just knew that he'd love it if I transformed our Jeep Wrangler into a vehicle straight out of the motion pictures that he loves so much!

Starting out with a couple pieces of black foam board, I cut them down and taped them together so that they would fit in the windshield.

Then using an image for the whites of the eyes and the eye balls, I sized them accordingly.  Then in Funtime, I cut the whites into 3 pieces so that I could cut it out in white contact paper on my 12 x 24 mat.  Carefully lining each one up to next so that it looked like one uniform piece.

With the help from Terri's latest class, I cropped the eye out of an image.  This made it easier copying it to an 8 1/2 x 11 worksheet and making a print and cut out of it.

A simple project that added a glow on my son's face!  So worth the effort and time.

I tried calling her Lightning McWrangler but my son insisted that it was Lightning McQueen.

Construction Cone Personalized Cups

Machine Used: BossKut Gazelle
Software: Funtime Scrapbooking IV
Materials: Oracal 651 Vinyl (outdoor vinyl)

With my dearest son's 3rd birthday quickly approaching I finally decided it was time to get some things done in preparation for the party.  As I'm sure with most boys his age, Disney Cars is the way to go.  We still watch it on a daily basis and his favorite color is red, just like Lightning McQueen.

While searching for some cute ideas for his birthday I came across these construction cone cups.  They are cute but I noticed that the biggest complaint about them was the paper on the base.  I went ahead an ordered them any in hopes that I would be able to do something about that.

Fortunately the cup can actually come off the base and I was able to peel the paper off easily.  I did some basic measurements on the size of the square and the diameter of the circle.  Then with the help of the Funtime software, I was able to create the same thing and cut it in outdoor vinyl.  It wasn't the easiest thing transferring the vinyl to the base but eventually with a little patience I did the best I could.  Now a more permanent fix and it will make washing the cups A LOT easier without having to worry about wrecking it!

I couldn't stop at the base . . . . not since I was on a roll!!  Using the same basic shape of the Cars logo, I added each the of the kiddos names to personalize the cups.

I used the true type font Magneto and welded the letters together in Funtime.

A fun little thank you to the kiddos attending and a way to keep from getting the drinks mixed up!

More to come on my son's birthday and until then KA-CHOW!!  ;o)
