Materials: Different size beads, 26 gauge wire
This simple project started simply because I needed some spiders and did a search on my options. Please be kind on my spiders, these are my first attempt! :o) Although after making a few of them, I've learned what I need to do differently next time, and yes, there will definitely be a next time.
I read over several tutorials but found that my favorite one was this one. I will also warn you that in my search of tutorials and bead spiders, I found some pretty realistic ones!! YUCK! ;o) I'm not much of a spider fan so I decided to keep my pretty. How silly would I look to catch a realistic one out of the corner of my eye and then to run screaming?!?
The spider on my daughter's hand was made specifically for her. I had to!! She wouldn't leave my spiders alone and I needed them for a couple of projects. For hers, I did end up using 20 gauge wire for the legs so that it would last longer.
Here's a couple of spiders hanging out at the projects I was working on!
